I'd be brutally honest, I am very casual and I don't really do well in hardcore games, but unfortuantely this was a bit too...difficult even for me. The controls seem simple, but when you are in a game that requires you to be quick, it doesn't work at all. Z, X, and C are your main attacks and only attacks you'll get for each of the characters. I don't really know the difference other than X is your revenge attack and usually kills anything including bosses. The A, S, and D keys are for bandages which increase health by a decent amount, medikits that increase health to full, and syringes that increase movement speed for a little bit. I couldn't get around the control scheme as an in-game tutorial wasn't included. I know this is early access, but I probably won't be reviewing it again until it gets released. For one thing, it's way too hard. The enemies always swarm you and unless you are quick, you'll die within seconds. The enemies seem varied, but all of them, excluding bosses, have only one attack and that is to chomp at you until you die. This doesn't sound bad, but if all of the enemies do the same thing and only have changes in terms of graphics, I fail to see the charm. The bosses, I couldn't get to, but I did see at least a fraction of the blonde boss and beat the boss with the guys who have pots of gold. They aren't terrible, but I found the fatal flaw in them. I was playing with the first guy that shows up on the cards and he instantly killed them with only a revenge move. That's bad when the boss was literally sprinting twice as much as you do and I slowed him down with just attacking. His little goonies didn't do too much, but if left alone on you for too long, you could die. This is more in accordance with the second boss as the first boss instantly killed me when I entered the room. The gameplay isn't good. You can instantly die from something on the other end of the door. This wouldn't be bad if you hadn't been swarmed by them in the other room. I can't take it fast because then I die too quickly from opening the wrong doors and I can't take it slow because they swarm me. Where's the middle ground in this? I can't honestly say I enjoyed it when I died at least 10 times from something that shouldn't have hit me or kill me completely. It's not fun, and the developer may have to lower the damage severely or have game options for beginner, medium, and hard in order for me to try it again or others.Pros:-The game looks nice overall from what I seen. I easily could distiniguish certain parts of the background like doors from other stuff like windows, desks, and bandages.-The bosses seem creative enough, but I couldn't get too far to learn much of it.Cons:-The gameplay is too hard for casuals such as myself. I easily died within seconds of merely entering a door. If the enemies couldn't be spawned on the door and didn't swarm you as much, I could of easily seen this game's charm, but unfortunately I don't play enough Dark Souls to beat a game like this.-Bosses can die easily from revenge attacks performed by your x button. This sucks as that means they don't even compare to the swarming of zombies you deal with in other rooms.-The upgrade system seems fine, but I died within mere moments of trying to figure out what I purchased did anything.-Overspawning and infinite enemies. You aren't safe at all unless you are in a safe room or a defeated boss room. That is it. Until you get to those spots, either try and carefully kill all of them, or rush to the exits.Overall: I could see this game getting better if more emphasis was put on beginners rather than hardcore veterans. For now, I'll give it a 2/10 or 3/10, but if the developer wishes for me to review again when it is finished, then I'll reconsider the review.Comments: Too hard too quickly. That is the phrase I would use to describe this game. I couldn't adapt well enough to its controls and in mere moments I died from overswarming enemies and what I can call invalid attacks. Sometimes you might not hit an enemy even though it's right in front of you. I also had two bugs that happened, but I don't know what at all caused them. This is early access, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and say it could get better, but as of right now, it needs some work to help those who just started on games like this. I tried to keep as calm as I could while playing, but it was very frustrating. This review was submitted for Gaming Until End, through the generous contribution of HellCow..
